Lorraine E. Trimble, 78, of Whitmoyer Road, Watsontown, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017, at the Gatehouse, Williamsport.
Born Oct. 5, 1938, in New Providence, Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Christian B. and Ethel E. (Reitzel) Worth. On June 30, 1956, she married Donald C. Trimble and they celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Lorraine was a 1956 graduate of Solanco High School, Lancaster County. She was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Turbotville.
She was also the past president of the Turbotville Lioness for several years. Lorraine enjoyed bowling on Wednesday mornings in the Early Bird League where she was the past president of the league for several years.
Lorraine loved baking and decorating wedding and birthday cakes. She enjoyed her artwork, painting and relaxing with her family at the cabin.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Joel C. Trimble, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; her daughter, Karen Trimble, of Watsontown; one brother, Robert Worth, of Athens, Tenn.; three sisters, Jacklyn (Chester) Wertz, of Willow Street, Pa., Althea Kreider, of Turbotville and Louise (James) Reardon, of Lancaster.
Family and friends are invited to call 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Chestnut Level Church Cemetery, 1068 Chestnut Level Road, Quarryville, with Pastor Guy Dunham officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
