Lois A. Reimensnyder


Lois A. Reimensnyder, 93, of Milton, passed away on May 9, 2019.
She was born Oct. 17, 1925, a daughter of the late Clarence W. and Marguerite E. (Menges) Cotner, but was raised by her grandparents, Issac and Jennie Menges from the age of six months. She married Fillmore H. Reimensnyder on April 13, 1946, in the Reformed Church of Milton, by the Rev. Nevin Danner. They observed 54 years of marriage until his death on Sept. 13, 2000.

Lois was a 1943 graduate of Milton High School.
She was employed as a bookkeeper at Milton Manufacturing Co. in the purchasing department until liquidation, Chef Boyardee, Milton, and later for 10 years at the Milton Shoe Factory, as well as assisting her husband in farming.

She is survived by one son, James A. Reimensnyder and his wife, Carolyn, of Milton; daughter-in-law, Mary Reimensnyder of Watsontown; four grandchildren, Debra Wright of Lewisburg, David Reimensnyder and his wife Amber of Spanish Fort, Ala., Robert Reimensnyder of Louisville, Ky., and Susan Bastian and her husband Chadrick of Milton; six great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren, Kimberly Aikey of Athol, Mass., and Kelly Gardner and her husband Richard of Watsontown; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, John F. Reimensnyder on April 6, 2012; and one half sister, Alice Mae Buss.

At her request, there will be a private graveside service and burial in Turbotville Cemetery.
The family will provide flowers and suggest memorial contributions in her memory be made to a charity of your choice.
