Lois S. Gass
She was born Aug. 29, 1928, in Danville, a daughter of the late Roy and Olive (Madden) Gass
Lois will be remembered by her family, students, and all who knew her for her beautiful spirit, ever present smile and her kind and industrious heart for people, especially her family whom she adored.
She is survived by two sisters, Joyce Barnhart and Carol Bell of Danville; two nephews, Howard Barnhart III and Rolland Bell; and four nieces, Letitia Fest, Carolynn Bell-Michel, Susan Hess and Gloria Olson.
She was preceded in death by one nephew, Roy Barnhart; one great-nephew, Roy Barnhart Jr.; and one great-niece, Gina Barnhart.
A celebration of Lois's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at Shiloh United Church of Christ, with her pastor, the Rev. Mary B. Schmotzer officiating. Friends will be received from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
