Linda's Story

Mrs. Linda Lee Lindy Wood (née Fisher), 66, died peacefully at Upstate Medical Center on June 25, 2016, in Syracuse, N.Y.

Linda is survived by her parents, Al Fisher and Barbara Stewart, of Hudson, Fla., Ruth and Willard Burd, of Winfield, Pa.; husband, Don Wood, of Cicero, N.Y.; sons and their partner/spouse, Robert Snyder III and Jessica Austin, and Christopher and Nichole J. Snyder; brother and spouse, Alan and Tammy Fisher; niece, Mandy Fisher; nephew and spouse, Karey and Patience Fisher; aunt, Dorothy Fisher; uncle and spouse, John and Charlotte Greiner; uncle, Lee Eberhart; and six grandchildren, all of Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by Edith Eberhart, aunt; Paul Greiner, uncle; Alvin G. and Eliza Fisher, paternal grandparents; and Chester and Mary Greiner, maternal grandparents.

Linda L. Wood was born April 5, 1950, in Dewart, Pa., to Al and Ruth. She graduated from Warrior Run High School in 1968. Linda attended Penn State University graduating Suma Cum Laude in 1971 with a Social Work/Social Welfare dual degree.

Linda had a passion for reading and her exuberance for life was evident by all who met her. Linda's smile was a key component of her charm. She was loved by all.

A private family service will be held.
