I had Mrs. Houser as a teacher in 7th grade at Selinsgrove School District and she was a teacher that made a huge difference in my life. When I started attending St. Pius X Catholic Church, I finally had the chance to tell her in person and thanked her for impacting my life. My heart goes out to her family in this time of sorrow and grief but we know she is in a far better place and will see her again.

I was not lucky enough to have been in one of her classes, but Mrs. Houser always talked to me and asked how I was. Over the past several years we ran into each other many times and she remembered me. I feel like I just saw her recently. She was a gift to the students of SAHS and all who knew her.

Growing up in Selinsgrove means that I would see Mrs. Houser in school often. I can’t remember her raising her voice - a feat that requires patience and kindness. My thoughts are with the houser family.
