Linda Sue (Shilo) Cunningham, 73, of Queen Street, Northumberland, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born Nov. 17, 1944, at the Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, La., a daughter of the late Pete and Linda (Vaughan) Shilo. She married Edward F. Cunningham in February of 1966 and he preceded her in death in July of 1994.
Linda was a 1962 graduate of Northumberland High School.
She began working as an operator for Bell Telephone Company in Sunbury and retired after 39 years of service from the Bloomsburg office.
Linda was a member of the First Regular Baptist Church, Northumberland, a member of the Red Hat Society in both Sunbury and Northumberland, and served as the secretary of the Alumni Association and as treasurer of the Degenstein Community Library, Sunbury.
Her free time was spent crocheting and playing Pinochle with her card club.
Linda is survived by one son, Craig A. Cunningham of Northumberland; one daughter, Michelle L. Cunningham of Mifflinburg; one sister, Paula S. Auten; one brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Diane Shilo, all of Northumberland; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Glenn and Diana Cunningham of Sunbury; and her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, R. James Auten.
Friends and family may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at First Regular Baptist Church, 205 Queen St., Northumberland, followed by the funeral at 3, with the Rev. Michael Cantine and the Rev. John Rees officiating.
Burial will follow in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
