Lena Kline Eberly, 97, of Selinsgrove, went home to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017. She passed with those who cared and loved her by her bedside in her home.
She was born Nov. 25, 1919, in Union County, a daughter of the late Clair E. and Theresa (Shaffer) Brosius, and stepmother, Jennie Brosius.
On April 8, 1939, she married Urie Kline and worked by his side on a farm until his passing on Aug. 18, 1965.
She worked outside the home at Fishers Processing, Winfield, Kemberlings Food, Hummels Wharf, as well as being a full time homemaker.
In 1975, she married Victor Eberly who preceded her in death in May 1987.
During her time married to Victor they enjoyed traveling, playing golf, and enjoying life.
Lena enjoyed canning, reading, quilting and other needlework.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Kratzerville.
She is survived by one son, Ronald Kline and wife, Jean, of New Berlin; three daughters, Carol Miller, of New Berlin, Doris Maurer and husband Robert, of Mifflinburg, and Phyllis Dreese and husband Larry, of Freeburg; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Violet Gemberling, of Sunbury, Avis Brosius, of Harrisburg; one sister-in-law, Alvesta Brosius, of Selinsgrove; and three brothers, Eugene Brosius, of Northumberland, Gerald Brosius, of Poconos, and Steward Brosius, of Lancaster.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur, Carson and Bernard Brosius; two sisters, Kathryn Auman, Emma Schnoepfher; one son-in-law, Garth Miller; and one great-grandson, Zachary Solomon.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, Kratzerville, followed by the funeral at 5, with Pastor Rick White officiating. Following the services, a meal will be served in the church social hall.
Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Kratzerville.
Flowers will be provided by the family. Donations in Lena's memory may be made to Zion Lutheran Church of Kratzerville, or to Hospice of Evangelical, 1 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
