Leah Lucetta (Lesher) Witmer, 84, of Northumberland and formerly of Dalmatia, passed away Sunday Jan. 14, 2018, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born Dec. 14, 1933, in Herndon, a daughter of the late Clair F. and Goldie (Rebuck) Lesher.
Leah was married on June 13, 1953, in Pillow, to Truma C. Witmer, who preceded her in death on Aug.12, 1997.
She attended Herndon Schools and was a 1951 graduate of Mahanoy Joint High School.
Leah worked for the former Creative Playthings in Herndon for many years.
She was a member of Zion Stone Valley Lutheran Church, Hickory Corners. Her extended family was the staff at Nottingham Village Heather Court, and the Evangelical Hospice for her daily care.
She is survived by one son; Kane Witmer, and his companion Jackie Bonawitz, of Dalmatia; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and George Konyar of Dalmatia, and Tina and Ron Etzweiler of Millersburg; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one sister, Bernetta Schreffler of Harrisburg; her companion for many years, Marvin Schadel of Dornsife.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Clair Lesher of Dornsife.
There will be no calling hours. Private services will be held at the convivence of the family.
