Larry N. Pick

December 12, 1949 - April 12, 2018

Larry N. Pick, 68, a resident of Mifflinburg, died Thursday, April 12, 2018, at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, surrounded by the love and support of his family and the spirit of his Lord.
He was born Dec. 12, 1949, in Muncy Creek Township, Lycoming County, a son of the late Dale I. and Jacqueline M. (Crandell) Pick. He was married to Sandra (Graybill) Padlo Pick, the love of his life, with whom he celebrated a second wedding anniversary on July 25, 2017.

Larry was a 1967 graduate of Montgomery Area High School and took great pleasure in serving on the 50th reunion committee. He attended Bloomsburg University and graduated from the Williamsport School of Commerce.
He worked in the banking industry, serving as a loan officer and assistant vice-president. He also owned his own mortgage company in South Carolina.
Larry was active in Boy Scouts receiving the God and Country Award. He loved his God and currently was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Mifflinburg. He was always active in church and, at one time, participated in the bell choir. He participated in Little League, and as an adult was very active in youth sports. He refereed youth soccer and volleyball and umpired baseball and girls softball. The highlight for Larry was calling the Dixie State Championship game at home plate. He enjoyed golfing and playing cards and games with his family. He was an avid fan of the Yankees and Penn State. He and Sandy also enjoyed taking bus trips. He loved his family and they loved him. During his last days the nurses and doctors at the hospital commented on how much his family loved him and was always there to support him, and also commented on his strong faith.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Gregory Pick of Williamsport, Chris (Michelle) Pick of Montgomery, and Jason (Jenn) Pick of Montoursville; his stepson, Jeremy (Tonya) Walter of New Berlin; three grandchildren, Erica; Samantha, and Bethany Pick; three stepgrandchildren, Brady, Landon, and Connor Walter; he was close to Sandy's stepson, Ed Padlo; and three siblings, Lynne Kay (Lee) Trefsger of Leesburg, Fla., Susan-Stacey (Ron) Hartung of Mifflinburg, and Jeffrey (Suzy) Pick of Montgomery.

Friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at New Covenant Assembly, 1270 Pinchtown Road, Montgomery, followed by the funeral at 1, with the Rev. James R. Pentz officiating.
Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.
