Larry Naugle, 79, of Sunbury, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born Feb. 18, 1938, in Sunbury, a son of the late John and Grace (Wise) Naugle. On April 6, 1958, he married the former Margaret Savidge who survives.

Larry was a 1956 graduate of Sunbury High School and served four years in the Navy. He spent two years on the USS Tarawa and two years on the USS Independence working in the air conditioning unit.
He was formerly employed by Young Door Company, Sunbury, until his retirement in 2000.
He was a member of Catawissa Avenue United Methodist Church and a life member of the Americus Hose Company.
Larry enjoyed camping, and watching his Green Bay Packers. Larry was "Mr. Fix it" and could repair anything. He was involved in numerous church activities and especially enjoyed attending lay witness missions with his wife. At Christmas time, he looked forward to setting up his American Flyer train and village display. His most joyous times were spent surrounded by his family and friends, laughing, singing and playing his banjo.

In addition to his wife of 59 years, Larry is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Dave Neitz, Brenda and Curt Hull, and Karen and Shaun Hull; seven grandchildren, Lindsey and her husband Jesse Scholl, Jeremy and his wife Amanda Haas, Benjamin Haas and his companion Kami, Justine and her husband Andrew Brown, Sara Hull, Ellen Hull, and Olivia Hull; six great-grandchildren and another arriving in September; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Lillian and William Feirick, and Jean Abbott; and a half brother, John Naugle.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Catawissa Avenue United Methodist Church, Sunbury, where a memorial service will be conducted at 11.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the memorial fund at Catawissa Avenue United Methodist Church, Sunbury.
The family would like to take this opportunity to extend our appreciation to the hospice nurses, aides, Chaplain, and social worker for caring for our husband and father.
