Larry J. Herman, 70, of Fair Oak Road, Selinsgrove, passed away suddenly on Saturday morning, Dec. 23, 2017, at his home.
He was born March 22, 1947, in Penn Township, Snyder County, a son of the late Eugene G. and Thelma C. (Kratzer) Herman. On July 22, 1967, he married the former Barbara A. Knouse who survives.
Larry had attended the Hill End School and Selinsgrove High School. He was employed by Ritz-Craft in Mifflinburg for 39 years and he also farmed.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Kratzerville, the Kratzerville Fire Company, and the NRA. Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as dirt track racing and high school football.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 50 years, are one son and daughter-in-law, Terry A. and Kelly Herman, of Selinsgrove; one daughter and son-in-law, Crystal L. and William Walls, of Selinsgrove; four grandchildren, Nathan, Brittnee and Emily Herman, and Dakota Walls; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Herman, of Selinsgrove.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred E. Herman Sr.
Friends and family will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Rick White officiating.
Burial will be in the Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery, Selinsgrove.
