Kenneth  Treon

Kenneth "Chub" Treon, 78, of Sunbury, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born April 13, 1941, in Sunbury, a son of the late Frank and Beatrice (Schleig) Treon. On June 6, 1964, he married the former Bonnie Grady who preceded him in death.

After graduating from Sunbury High School in 1959, he served in the Marines as a Aviation Navigator during the Korean War.
He retired in 1990 from the Lewisburg Penitentiary, as federal corrections officer for 24 years.
Kenneth was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church.

He is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Cathy Treon, Jeff and Robin Treon, and Greg and Maria Treon; one sister, Karen (Treon) Kile; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Gary Kemberling; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Jr. and Karen (Farrell) Treon, and Donald and Margaret (Lathrop) Treon; and grandchildren, Gabrielle Kemberling, Katherine Kemberling, Garrett Kemberling, Jacob Treon, Danielle Treon, Nicholas Treon, Andrew Treon and Isabelle Treon.

He was preceded in death by one brother, William Treon.

A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, followed by a memorial service at 4.
