Kay F. Marks, 70, of Erdley Church Road, Winfield, passed away on Saturday morning, Aug. 5, 2017, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove, where she had resided for the past two months.
She was born Jan. 13, 1947, in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Robert B. and Ruth E. Shultz DeWald. On Feb. 26, 1972, she married Roy M. Marks who survives.
Kay was a graduate of Bloomsburg High School. She helped her husband in the operation of their dairy farm.
She enjoyed gardening, family gatherings, taking Sunday trips with the draft horses and wagon for picnics, riding horses, going to yard sales with her sister-in-law, Anna, and flea marketing with her friends. She also enjoyed movie times and will be remembered as a terrific cook. She had a special place for her German shepherds, all of which were named Tarzan.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 45 years are a brother, Robert B. DeWald, of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; a sister, Deborah Jones, of Palm Bay, Fla.; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Ethel Marks, of Hughesville and Blanche and Bruce Gaugler, of Selinsgrove; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sisters-in-law, Anna Minot, Helen Gray, Martha Roslon and Katherine Gaugler; and a brother-in-law, Sam Marks.
Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. HIgh St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Kevin Rathmell officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Reformed Cemetery, Kratzerville.
