Kathleen H. Shambach, 81, of Orange Street, Selinsgrove, passed away on Saturday morning, July 22, 2017, at her home.
She was born April 10, 1936, in Delaware Township, Juniata County, a daughter of the late Edward Banks and Rosie Mae (Lauver) Swartz. She was married Stanford S. "Deeter" Shambach who preceded her in death on April 26, 2003.
Kathleen had been employed as a patient care aide at the Selinsgrove Center and later did housekeeping for area families.
She was a life member of the Women of the Moose.
She is survived by one sister, Gladys Rumfelt, of Liverpool; four brothers, Donald, Art, and Norman Swartz, all of Port Royal, and Larry Swartz, of Millmont; numerous half brothers and sisters; stepchildren; stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Murphy; and five brothers, Lester, Leroy, Edward, Roscoe, and George Swartz.
Visitors may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. David K. Shultz officiating.
Burial will be in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
