Katherine Ann Ginley, 64, of Selinsgrove, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday evening, Feb. 25, 2018, at her home.
She was born Jan. 24, 1954, in Biloxi, Miss., a daughter of the late Harley and Joyce (Smith) Abernathy. On Dec. 30, 1988, she married David K. Ginley who survives.
Katherine had assisted in the operation of the family business, Ace of Signs, Selinsgrove.
Katherine was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. Her passion in life were her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Eric LaFore of Selinsgrove; one daughter, Heather Betts of Selinsgrove; one stepson, Thomas Ginley of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Cody, Cory, Brooklyn Rose, Ainsley, Delaney, Delilah and Donovan; two brothers and one sister, John, Russell, and Joan Gilbert, all of Mississippi; one sister-in-law, Gail Stanley of Hawaii; and one uncle, Bob Ferneau of Michigan.
At Katherine's request, there will be no services.
