June E. Berger, 85, Church Street, McEwensville, passed away Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born April 15, 1932, in Milton, a daughter of the late Simon Palmer and Ruth (McLaughlin) Keefer. On Nov. 26, 1953, she married Paul F. Berger and they would have been celebrating 64 years of marriage this year.
June was a 1950 graduate of Milton High School and had worked at B and H Electric Company in Marmora, N.J. She also taught at Pratt's Hawaiian School of Music in Williamsport.
She was a former member of St. Peters United Methodist Church, Milton and was currently attending St. Johns United Methodist Church, Dewart.
Earlier in life she sang with the Jubilee Choir in the Turbotville area and played with Bob and Dean McNett in "The Country Band" and at the Radio Ranch Corral in Montgomery. She loved playing cards and was an accomplished artist.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one brother, Caroll P. (Joyce) Keefer, Lewisburg; two sisters, Tresa Lowman, Hillsboro, Ohio, and Beverly J. Strickler, Lewisburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's United Methodist Church, Dewart, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Brian Cieslukouski officiating.
Burial will follow in Presbyterian Cemetery, McEwensville.
