Judy A. Stuck, 74, a former resident of Northumberland, passed away Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, at her home in Florida.
She was born in Northumberland on Oct. 6, 1943, the daughter of the late Alvin and Gladys (Brown) Stuck.
She graduated from Northumberland High School in 1961 and from the Empire Beauty School in 1966. In 2004 she was honored by receiving the Alumni Award for outstanding service to the Alumni of Northumberland High School, Church and Community.
Judy owned and operated at beauty shop in Northumberland until she retired and moved to Florida in 2013.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Northumberland and was active in many church activities. She was an avid bowler.
While in Florida she made many new friends and enjoyed the pool, attending a needlework group, monthly luncheons with friends and going to shows especially Johnny Mathis. She began a yearly luncheon in Florida for her high school classmates who lived and visited there.
Surviving are two sisters, Janey Gurysh and her husband J. Kenneth, of The Villages, Fla. and Dolly Smith, of Northumberland; sister-in-law, Lois Stuck; nine nieces and nephews, Greg Stuck, Wendy Orris and husband Darryl, Jeff Stuck and wife Kim, Jennifer Wade and husband Austin, Kenneth J. Gurysh and wife Michelle, Wade S. Gurysh and wife LeeAnn, Todd Smith and wife Jessie, Tina Bordner and husband Mike, and Jayne Lynn Bock and husband Matt.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Wendel.
A visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 309 Water St., Northumberland, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland.
