John Vincent, 68, of Milton, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born July 11, 1949, in Washington, D.C., a son of the late John E. and Lottie (Harstead) Vincent. He was married to the former Brenda Zimmerman and his death breaks a marital union of 45 years.
John was a 1949 graduate of Crossland High School in Temple Hills, Md.
He was a owner/operator truck driver for 44 years, working with Milton Trans and retiring from Watsontown Trucking.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Milton and the F&AM Lodge 256, Milton.
John was an avid Washington Redskins fan and enjoyed collecting movies.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Ronnie Lehman, of Milton, and Sherry and Chester Medley, of Milton; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Barbara Hickey, of Gambrills, Md., and Bonnie Vincent, of Milton.
Friends and relatives will be received from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, at the First Baptist Church, 316 Golf Course Road, Milton, followed by the funeral at 6, with the Rev. Jamie Dries officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton.
