John  Sebasovich


John Sebasovich Jr., 77, of Danville, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, in Bloomsburg, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Aug. 25, 1942, in Sunbury, a son of the late Margaret (Cupp) and John Sebasovich Sr.

John was a 1960 graduate of Sunbury High School. He proudly served in the National Guard Reserve.
For more than 30 years, he worked as a forklift operator at International Paper.

He was an antique car enthusiast who loved restoring and showing cars, including his beloved 1950 Oldsmobile. He enjoyed the music of the 1950s, and could be seen out dancing with his wife, of 52 years, Irene (Cero) Sebasovich, or playing the washtub bass in a band with his friends. He was known for making others laugh, particularly his grandsons, as well as his buddies that he ate breakfast with.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Sebasovich of Danville; one son, Steve Sebasovich and significant other, Heather Mowery of Bloomsburg; grandsons, Sean Sebasovich and Jared Mowery of Bloomsburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Wendy Sebasovich of Sunbury; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Joan and Henry Eyer of Danville, Kathy and Michael Kopich of Middleburg, and Joyce Church of Sunbury.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the Brady Funeral Home, 448 Church St., Danville, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Janice Rishe of the Bloomsburg Community of Christ Church, officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 40 Honor Guard.
Burial will take place at a later date in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg.

We sure are going to miss you John! Especially at breakfast but you will always be there in spirit! And probably still trying to take someone’s leftovers lol! I can still hear your voice, “aren’t you gonna eat that, are you done with that?!” Lol you always made us laugh! Rest in sweet peace ❤️
