John W. "Jack" Reffeor, 81, of Sunbury, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Feb. 26, 2018, at 7 p.m. at Geisinger Mecial Center.
He was born Feb. 9, 1937, in Sunbury, the eldest son of the late Boyd and Kathryn Reffeor and is survived by his brother Boyd "Skip", his wife Connie and their family. He spent nearly 45 years with his late wife, Darlene (Latsha), who left his side in 2002.
Jack graduated in 1955 from Sunbury High School and dedicated his life to carpentry. He took great pride in his work and provided beautiful works of art for his clients. By his family and many others he was known as one of the best finishing carpenters in the area.
He was a dedicated member of Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church and an officer of The Central Eastern PA Coon Hunters Club for many years.
He was an avid hunter, raising both coon dogs and beagles. He enjoyed working in his yard and watching the extensive wildlife who visited.
Jack is survived by his eldest daughter, Brenda K. Broschart of Northumberland, her husband Robert, and their children, Benjamin, Caleb, Rachel, Marcus and Anna, and 2 great-grandsons, Troy and Alistair; his youngest daughter, Staci A. Kuester of Spartanburg, S.C., and her husband John; and his good friend and neighbor, Tom Tobias.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 11, with Pastor Josh Gibson officiating.
Interment will follow in United Lutheran Church Cemetary, Wolfs Crossroads.
