John L. Lakatosh, 80, of Lewisburg, died Thursday, March 8, 2018, at his residence.
He was born July 18, 1937, in Trenon, N.J., a son of the late Louis and Anna (Hershey) Lakatosh. On May 30, 1958, John married the former Adele E. Meszaros who survives. They celebrated 58 years of marriage together last year.
John was a 1956 graduate of Hamilton High School, New Jersey.
He was a mechanic by trade but went on to own his own business making briar smoking pipes.
He was a member of the Teamsters Union and the PA Guild of Craftsman.
John enjoyed woodworking, fishing, traveling, and his dog, Buddy.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by one son, Charles Lakatosh of Waynsboro; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and David Reynolds of Arch Dale, N.C., Debbie and Jeff Baker of Mazeppa, and Denise and Steve Dunkelberger of Middleburg; and four grandchildren, Aaron, Megan, Addison and Kendall.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Jean Koontz.
A celebration of life for John will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
