Joan E. Klingler, 61, of Back Mountain Road, McClure, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, due to injuries from a fall at her home.
She was born April 19, 1956, in Souderton (Montgomery County), a daughter of Norman Moyer of McClure and the late Miriam (Landis) Moyer. On Oct. 1, 1997, she married John H. Klingler Jr. who survives.
Joan was a graduate of Middleburg High School.
Together with her husband, they established their business Klingler Produce. For 25-plus years, Joan found enjoyment serving her customers.
Joan loved spending time with her family and friends, gardening, going to the casino, and especially enjoyed playing bingo.
In addition to her father and husband, she is survived by her children, Shannon M. Shambach and companion Ty Kearns, and Zane B. and Rose Dreese; stepchildren, Amy S. and Michael Snook and Corey J. and Shana Klingler; six grandchildren, Sara Shambach, Maddox Dreese, Megan Snook, Derrick Snook, Marcus Klingler, and Samantha Klingler,; one great-grandchild, Konner Snook; and two brothers, Jim and Glenn Moyer.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Moyer.
Joan was a kind and caring person whose lasting gift was being an organ donor.
Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11a.m. Friday at St. John's Ridge Lutheran Church, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Matthew Schuster officiating.
Burial will follow in the adjoining Black Oak Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joan's memory may be made to St. John's Ridge Lutheran Church, Old Stage Road, McClure, PA 17841, or to the Bannerville Fire Company.
Arrangements are by the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown.
