Jerry Q. Moyer, 72, of Paxtonville Road, Middleburg, passed away on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born Jan. 15, 1945, in Franklin Township, Snyder County, a son of the late Marlin and Mary (Klingler) Moyer.
Jerry attended Middleburg High School.
He was employed at Beavertown Block Company for more than 45 years.
Jerry was an avid hunter and enjoyed driving in the mountains. He enjoyed attending public sales and was a collector of peanut butter glasses, bear banks, Hess trucks, and other collectibles.
He is survived by one daughter, Wendy J. Preun, of Dillsburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry L. and Mischelle Moyer, of Shiremanstown; three grandsons, Tyler Preun, and Bailey and Owen Moyer; two brothers, Wayne Moyer, of Beavertown, and Ned Moyer, of Middleburg; two sisters, Blanche Jones, of State College, and Annabelle Moyer, of Middleburg; and his long time companion of 30 years, Sharon E. Krahel.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Walter and Helen Wagner; and six brothers, Harold, Earl, John, Paul, Carl, and Billy Moyer.
A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, followed by the funeral at 11, with Pastor George Price III officiating.
Burial will be in the Paxtonville Cemetery.
