Jeanne's Story

Text size

Jeanne Marie (English) Reitz, 67, of Park Road, Pillow, and a 1967 graduate of Shikellamy High School.
God's angel blessed this earth on Sept. 8, 1949, the daughter of the late Max and Evelyn (Bollinger) English and was called home on Aug. 29, 2017.
Jeanne was a compassionate, loving woman who devoted her life to her family and friends. She blessed those around her with her brilliant smile and gentle and selfless acts of devotion. She gave her time and her love freely to all she met. A woman of such beauty, strength and integrity can never be matched.
Jeanne was active in her church and community. She provided comfort to those in struggle and opened her heart and home to those in need.
She was an avid Scrabble player and loved playing Bingo. She loved spending holidays with her extended family and was sure to decorate every year's Christmas tree perfectly in true Martha Stewart style.
Jeanne was the loving wife of 44 years to her high school sweetheart, Ronald E. Reitz, of Pillow. She is survived by her children, Curt Reitz (Maria Bacchia), of Green Bay Wis., Fabian Reitz, of Turlock Calif., and Francine Reitz (Ed Estrada), of Macungie, Pa.; and her grandchildren, Madison, Hana, Sienna, Niko and Olivia. She is also survived by her sister, Maxine English (Michael), of Mount Holly, N.J.; and nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Barry English.
Jeanne's legacy will live on in those that loved her; she will be forever remembered by all who were privileged to know her.
A celebration of Jeanne's life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, 118 S. Market St., Millersburg, with a gathering to follow; all are welcome to attend.
Donations can be made in Jeanne's honor to the Dementia Society of America, 114 N. Main St. Doylestown, PA 18901.
