Janet L. Tingwall Janet L. Tingwall, 85, formerly of Northumberland and Montandon, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at Geisinger Home Health Hospice at Maria Hall, Danville.
She was born Sept. 9, 1933, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late John and Agnes (Stover) Brouse. In 1963, in Lewisburg, she married John A. Tingwall who preceded her in death on May 24, 2016.
Janet was a 1951 graduate of Lewisburg High School.
She was a retired bank teller.
She was a member of the Lewisburg Eastern Star, the Mifflinburg Moose Chapter 1279, and was a volunteer at Evangelical Community Hospital and the Slifer House Museum.
Janet enjoyed reading.
She is survived by two sisters , Elizabeth "Betty" Erdley and husband Donald of Lewisburg, and Terry Brouse of Lewistown; one brother-in-law, Carl Wagner of Northumberland; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Katherman and Connie Wagner.

A visitation with the family will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at St. John's Union Church, 3667 Route 304, Winfield, followed by a memorial service at 11, with Pastor Ricki Phillips officiating.
Inurnment will be in Pomfret Manor Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are by the Olley-Gotlob Funeral Home, Sunbury.

My thoughts & prayers are going out to the families who loved her. Aunt Janet & Uncle John were truly special people to anyone and everyone who knew them. Kind, funny, loving, helpful. Just the kind of person you would hope to have as a family member.
