Ivan R. Martin, 64, of Port Trevorton, died on Monday, March 5, 2018, at the Hershey Medical Center.
Ivan was born Dec. 14, 1953, in Kantz, Snyder County, a son of the late Ivan M. and Martha M. (Reiff) Martin. He is survived by his wife Nancy M. (Brubacker) Martin. The couple were married for more than 44 years.
Ivan was a dairy farmer and mechanic.
He was a member of Stauffer's Old Order Mennonite Church-Verdilla District.
In addition to his wife, Ivan is survived by his six sons, Jason Martin husband of Shelby, Merle Martin, Curvin Martin husband of Lena Mae, Ivan Ray Martin husband of Melinda, Loren Martin husband of Joyce, and Justin Martin all of Port Trevorton; 25 grandchildren; 10 brothers and sisters, Naomi Auker wife of John of Mount Pleasant Mills, Lena Auker wife of Phares of Selinsgrove, Leah Martin of Denver, Pa., Paul Martin of Versailles, Mo., and sister-in-law, Dorothy Martin of Memphis, Mo., Rufus Martin husband of Alice of Vandalia, Ill., Anna Zimmerman wife of Elam of Vandalia, Ill., John Martin husband of Ellen of Ephrata, Martha Sensenig wife of Kenneth of Mount Pleasant Mills, Sadie Brubacker wife of Galen of Port Trevorton, and Marcus Martin husband of Elva of Clarksburg, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Donald Zimmerman of Tunas, Mo.; mother-in-law, Ida Ann Brubacker of Ephrata; and many nieces and nephews.
Ivan was preceded in death by a grandson, Russell Martin, and a stillborn grandchild; two sisters, Edna Martin and Ida Zimmerman; father-in-law, Luke Brubacker; and two brothers-in-law, Daniel Martin and Lewis Brubacker.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing from noon to 3 p.m. and from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the family home, 5094 Produce Road, Port Trevorton. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the family home with further services at 9 a.m. at Stauffer's Old Order Mennonite Church-Verdilla District, Produce Road, Port Trevorton.
Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
The George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills have been entrusted with the arrangements.
