Iva M. Oberlin


Iva M. Oberlin, 96, of McClure, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019, at Ohesson Manor in Lewistown.
She was born July 19, 1922, in McClure, a daughter of the late Jay and Bessie (Morgan) Erb. She was married Dec. 24, 1938, to Stoy Oberlin who preceded her in death in 1984.
Iva was a member of St. John's "Ridge" Lutheran Church in McClure.
She worked for more than 30 years at Bubb's Sewing Factory in McClure.
In her spare time she enjoyed going to the Senior Citizen's Center and going to the Jams at the VFW.
She is survived by her daughter, Pauline Barner, of Beavertown; five grandchildren, Melinda Kratzer, of Middleburg, Rhonda Barner, of Beavertown, Jason Barner and wife Carrie, of Richfield, Greg Oberlin and wife Julie and Troy Oberlin and wife Jenn, all of Beavertown; eight great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Anna Wray and husband Earl; one brother, Bill Erb; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Herbert Oberlin; and her two brothers, Glenn Erb and Ottis Erb.
Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 1, at the Pheasant Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown, where the funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, with Pastor Mike Sigler officiating.
Burial will follow in Black Oak Ridge Cemetery.
