Herman R. "Herm" Benner, 92, of Cocolamus, entered into rest on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at the Richfield Senior Living and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Nov. 14, 1924, in McAlisterville, a son of the late Harry and Emma (Adams) Benner. He was married for 65 years to the former Pauline A. Shellenberger Benner who survives.
Herman and his wife Pauline operated a dairy farm.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Richfield.
In addition to his wife Pauline, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Kelly Benner, of Wexford; one daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Roger Pilotti, of Clermont, Fla.; two grandsons, Maxwell Benner and Anthony Pilotti and his wife Betsy; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Lawrence and Elsie Mae Benner, of McAlisterville and Park Benner, of Springfield, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Herman was preceded in death by two brothers, Boyd and Clair Benner; and one sister, Irene Troutman.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills, followed by the funeral at 8, with the Rev. Lisa Barnes officiating.
Burial will be private in Goodwill Cemetery.
