Helen A. Hogan, 78, of Milton, formerly of New Hyde Park, N,Y,, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2016, at Maria Hall, Danville.
She was born May 26, 1938, in New York City, a daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Pajuth) Toth. She was happily married to George Hogan and her death breaks a marital union of 58 years.
Helen was a graduate of Sewanhaka High School in Floral Park, N.Y.
She had retired from the Nassau County Clerk Office and had worked for the Milton High School.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Milton where she was an Eucharistic minister.
Helen enjoyed reading, going to the beach, collecting Boyd's Bears, and spending time with her grandchildren. With her husband, she volunteered with Meals on Wheels in Milton and Lewsiburg.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Allen Treibley, of New Columbia; one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Susan Hogan, of Doylestown; and six grandchildren, Tammie Thompson, Timothy Treibley, Taylor Treibley, Stephanie Hogan, Samantha Hogan and Stephen Hogan Jr.
Friends and relatives will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton, with a Christian Prayer service at 6. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 Broadway, Milton, with the Rev. Fr. John D. Hoke as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
