Harry L. Kerstetter Harry L. Kerstetter Sr., 87, of King Street, Northumberland, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born at home in Montandon a son of the late Dewey and Helen (Neitz) Kerstetter. On Feb. 3, 1972, he married the former Bobbie J. McDaniel who survives.

Harry was a 1949 graduate of Montandon High School. He then served with the Army National Guard during the Korean War serving with the 987th Field Artillery Battalion as a tank operator. He served from Sept. 1951 until his honorable discharge in June 1952 with the rank of Sergeant First Class.
He retired from American Home Foods, Milton in August of 1993 from the shipping department after many years of service.
He was a member of the Crossroads Church of the Nazarene, Milton, a member of the Montandon American Legion and various local fire companies.
Harry was an avid sports fan following all of the Philadelphia sports teams and Penn State and Alabama football teams. He also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and never missed Jeopardy.

In addition to his wife of 46 years, he is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Steven A. Kerstetter of Annville, and Harry L. Jr. and Heather R. Kerstetter of Sunbury; stepson, Richard F. Young Jr. of Summerville, Ga.; one daughter and son-in law, Cathy A. and Thomas J. Foreman of Selinsgrove; two stepdaughters, Savilla M. Rudy and husband William C. and Karen D. Haddon, all of Northumberland; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Jackie Kerstetter of Mechanicsburg; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Shirley Conrad of Montandon and Judy and Ronald Robbins of Milton.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Herbert, Nelson, Larry, and Arthur in infancy; and three sisters, Mildred, Charlotte and Edith.

Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King St., Northumberland. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Crossroads Church of the Nazarene, 71 Nazarene Lane, Milton, with Pastor Steve L. Vaughn officiating.

Burial with military honors will be in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
