Harry R. Fritz


Harry R. Fritz, 90, of Lewisburg, passed away on Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
He was born Oct. 13, 1928, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Warren and Myrtle (Dennis) Fritz. He and his wife, the former Elva Zimmerman Wilson, were married Jan. 1, 2000. Together they celebrated 19 years of marriage.

Harry was a 1947 graduate of Lewisburg High School. He then went on to graduate from the former Williamsport Area Community College with a degree in tool design. He served honorably in the United States Air Force, where he served with the strategic air command in photo reconnaissance. Harry worked as a project engineer for the former Spout Waldron, now Andritz and Young Industries, Inc.
In his spare time, Harry enjoyed hunting, cartography, photography and most of all being with his family. He also loved traveling, especially to Arizona during the winter months.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Beth Fritz of Montoursville; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Denise and Denis Gingles of Queensbury, N.Y., Michelle and Thom Shaheen of Muncy, and Marlene Fritz of Hudson, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Mitch, Leah, Blaire, Diana and Jeffrey; and one great-grandson, Jackson.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Sue (Collins) Fritz; four brothers, Roland, Eston, Russell and Gordon Fritz; and two sisters in infancy.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis
streets, Lewisburg.

Dear Elly,

I am so sorry. I have very pleasant memories of our roooming together on that first chorale trip.
