H. Jane's Story

H. Jane W. Kramm, 86, of 4309 Old US Highway 322, Reedsville, passed away at 4:38 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at her home.

Born Feb. 16, 1932 in Watsontown, RD, she was a daughter of the late George S. and Hazel (Ranck) Wesner.

On Feb. 9, 1952, she was united in marriage to Pastor Thomas S. Kramm. Pastor Kramm survives at their home.

She is survived by her children, Steven T. Kramm and wife Karen of Mifflintown, Kathy S. Crownover and husband Mark of Belleville, Darcy A. Herto and husband Randy of Goshen, Ind., Mark T. Kramm and wife Ellen of Cedar, Minn., and Andrew K. Kramm and wife Aimee of Wellsboro; six grandchildren, Jon Crownover, Adam Crownover, Christopher Kramm, Andrew Kramm, Justin Kramm, and Gretchen Clauser; six great-grandchildren, Eric Crownover, Jesse Crownover, Addison Crownover, Lucas Kramm, Jonah Kramm, and Matthew Kramm; and her siblings, William Wesner, G. Fred Wesner, Sue Wertz, and Nancy Shoemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Wesner and James Wesner.

Jane graduated from McEwensville Elementary School and from Watsontown High School. She attended Bucknell University. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a very special lady and was always supportive of her husband's ministry.

She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Reedsville, and a member of the Mary & Martha Group in Reedsville. She previously taught Sunday School and catechism classes at St. John's Lutheran Church when they lived in Belleville.

She enjoyed music, playing the piano, and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play the piano. She also enjoyed reading, appreciated her flower garden, and took pride in caring for her home.

Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 2, at Henderson Funeral Home, Belleville. Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Reedsville, with Rev. Carla Volland officiating.

Jane donated her body to medical science. Her cremains will be interred at McEwensville Presbyterian Cemetery at the convenience of her family.

In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
