Glenn D. Hartman, 85, of Hampstead, Md., passed away on Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 16, 1932, in Lewistown, Pa., a son of the late James D. and Mary (Eddinger) Hartman. In 1961, he married the former Carol L. Walter who survives.
Glenn had worked as a printer throughout his life.
He was a hardworking father and he especially loved animals.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael and Diane Hartman, Todd Hartman, and Troy and Kim Hartman; and three grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, and Lauren Hartman.
He was preceded in death by one brother, D. Richard Hartman; and one sister, Irene Hetrick.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, followed by a graveside service at 11 a.m. in the Paxtonville Cemetery with the Rev. Mindy Coates officiating.
A memorial service will be held in Maryland at a later date.
