Gladys I. Lebo, 90, of Northumberland, formerly of Trevorton, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.
She was born March 28, 1926, in Herndon, a daughter of the late Isaac T. and Tamie U. (Erdman) Byerly. On April 27, 1946, in Herndon, she married Herbert M. Lebo who preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1984.
Gladys was a longtime resident of Trevorton. She was a graduate of Herndon High School. After high school she attended nursing school in Danville. She was a homemaker and did babysitting for many Trevorton children.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church Trevorton where she was active in many church activities. She formerly served as treasurer for Trevorton Patsies.
Gladys enjoyed camping and traveling.
She is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Kenneth Lebo, of Shamokin, Dave and Donna Lebo, of Trevorton, Richard and Marsha Lebo, of Delaware, and Edward Lebo, of Trevorton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Daniel Straub, of Sunbury, and Darla and John DeSantis, of Winfield; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Lebo; and two brothers, Lawrence and Melvin Byerly.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, 601 W. Market St., Trevorton, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Frederick Faust officiating.
Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
