Gladys's Story

Gladys G. Hoffman, 87, of McAlisterville, entered into rest on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, at Aristacare at Hearthside, State College.
She was born in Monroe Township, Juniata County, a daughter of the late Robert Patterson and Dillie Mae (Fogle) Goodling. She was married to Earl R. Hoffman who preceded her.

Gladys retired from the Richfield Shirt factory.
She attended Niemond's Church, Richfield.

Gladys enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and puzzles. She loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Teresa Hoffman of Evendale; three grandchildren and their spouses, Bethany and Darren Chilson of McAlisterville, Holly and Carl Wagner of Enola, and Sean and Shannon Keisling of Carlisle; two great-grandchildren, Charlotte Chilson and Lyra Keisling; and a sister-in-law, Catherine G. Goodling of Selinsgrove.
Gladys was preceded in death by two daughters and one son-in-law, Linda Hoffman and Jeanne and Larry Keisling; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Palmer and Ruby Goodling, Monroe and Kathryn Goodling, Herman and Edna Goodling, Arlin and June Goodling, and Kenneth Goodling; and one sister and brother-in-law, Beulah and Charles Sheaffer.

Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, followed by the funeral at 2, at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills with Pastor Ron Berrus officiating.
Burial will be in Niemond's Cemetery, Richfield.
