George H. Dressler, 86, of Liverpool, formerly of Millerstown, entered into rest on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Gregory Goodling with whom he resided. He was the husband of Gladys M. (Dietz) Dressler, who preceded him on Nov. 15, 2013.
George was born Aug. 6, 1931, in Richfield, a son of the late Willard and Mary Agnes (Minium) Dressler.
He retired from Hempt Brothers Inc., Camp Hill and was previously employed at the McAlisterville Block Plant and Troup Brothers & Benner's Store, Seven Stars.
George enjoyed watching hummingbirds, gardening and woodworking. He loved to spend time with his family and cooking for them.
He is survived by his three children and their spouses, Roger L. and Doris Dressler of Harrisburg, Randy L. Sr. and Melinda Dressler of McAlisterville, and Debra A. and Gregory D. Goodling of Liverpool; 10 grandchildren, Heith, Whitney, Sally, Jeremy, Shanna, Eric, Tylor, Cody, Shena and Randy Jr.; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Kerstetter and Faye Lauver; a brother, Tom Dressler; and two sisters-in-law, Delores Moyer and Janet Reigle.
George was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Dressler and Rosetta Urich; and a brother, Herbert Dressler.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing on Tuesday, Sept. 26, from 10: a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills. Officiating will be Rev. Salvatore E. Buonocore.
Burial will be in the Evangelical Methodist Cemetery, Richfield.
