Franklin's Story

Franklin "Elmer" Cook, 91, of Lewisburg, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at Elmcroft of Lewisburg.
He was born Feb. 4, 1926, in Danville, a son of the late Charles F. and Irma May (Badger) Cook. He was married to the former Ida Jane Flowers who survives.

Elmer served his country in the Navy.
He was a pipefitter for the Bureau of Prisons, Lewisburg.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Mifflinburg and the Bucknell Golf Course, Lewisburg.
Elmer enjoyed fishing but he loved turkey hunting.

In addition to his wife Ida, Elmer is survived by one son, Benjamin F. Cook, of Selinsgrove; and one grandson, Tyler Cook.
Elmer was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Cook.

Services for Elmer are being handled privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, 417 Market St., Mifflinburg, PA 17844.

Arrangements are being handled by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front St., Milton.
