Flora A. Splain, 92, of Sunbury, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at 1:14 a.m. at her residence.
She was born Oct. 26, 1926, in Mifflinburg, a daughter of the late Margaret Hackenburg. On Aug. 15, 1952, in Philadelphia, she married Robert S. Splain who preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 2000.

Flora was a 1946 graduate of Sunbury High School.
She was employed as a waitress at Amity House until her retirement.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Sunbury.
Flora enjoyed Penn State and Shikellamy football, cooking, gardening, wordsearch puzzles, but most of all she enjoyed being with her family.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Young of Sunbury; two grandsons and their wives, Scott and Tahnya and Bill and Rhonda; five great-grandchildren, Billy, Scotty, Tehani and her husband, Mark, Dustin, and Matthew; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Toby, Cody, and Brittany; five great-great-grandchildren, Lexi, Brixton, Brantley, Emma and Rusty; three stepgreat-great-grandchildren, Alayah, Jackson, and Desmond; extended family, Michelle, Kristy, Kelsey, and Krin; and her beloved cat, Missy.

A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, and from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 18, followed by the funeral at 1 p.m., at the Olley-Gotlob Funeral Home, 539 Race St., Sunbury, with hospice chaplain, Robert Barner officiating.
Burial will be in Ray's Church Cemetery, Millmont.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Flora's memory may be made to a no kill animal shelter of the donor's choice.
