Ezra T. Hostetler, 94, of 863 W. Back Mountain Road, Belleville, passed away at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at his home.
He was born Jan. 9, 1924, in Reedsville, a son of the late John K. and Fannie E. (Yoder) Hostetler. On Dec. 18, 1947, he married the former Leah Y. Byler who preceded him in death on May 7, 2008.
Ezra was a dairy farmer, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of Pleasant View Amish Mennonite Church.
He enjoyed scrap booking and in his earlier years he enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Daniel and Mary Hostetler of Dundee, Ohio, Leroy and Rebecca Hostetler of Winfield, Norman and Lydia Mae Hostetler of Allensville, Linda and Levi Beachy of Winfield, Bertha and Rudy Sharp of Allensville, John and Loretta Hostetler of Reedsville, Esther and Norman Zook of Mifflin, Ervin and Mary Hostetler of Belleville, Jesse and Mary Ann Hostetler of Belleville, David and Mary Anna Hostetler of Belleville, and Sally and Arlan Peachey of Belleville; 52 grandchildren; 81 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, David Hostetler and wife Joyce of Lewistown; and sister-in-law, Ruth Hostetler of Elyria, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers; and two sisters.
Ezra's family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant View Amish Mennonite Church, where the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Bishop David J. Peachey and Ministers David Jonathan Peachey and David Byler, officiating.
Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care of Henderson Funeral Home Inc., 3813 W. Main St., Belleville.
