Ethel's Story

Ethel Jean Rowles, 81, of 220 Libby Road, Millmont, entered into rest at 2:15 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont.
She was born Dec. 7, 1935, in Decatur Township, Clearfield County, a daughter of the late Paul Melvin and Rebecca (Poole) Phillips. She was married to Wesley James Rowles who preceded her death.

Jean worked as a seamstress for various factories including, McTaggs and Clardon Manufacturing in Philipsburg, PAR-KNIT and Spectro Knit in Mifflinburg. She also worked as a foster grandmother through the Mifflinburg Children's Center.
She was a member of the Mifflinburg Assembly of God Church.
Jean enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and her two cats, Tabby and Cole.

Surviving are one son, Paul H. Hoopsick Jr., of Millmont; three grandchildren, Paul H. Hoopsick III, of Mifflinburg, Shannon Reigle, of Millmont, and Michael Fegley, of Middleburg; nine great-grandchildren, Kayla, Randall III "Bud", Kimmy, BreezzeAnn, Brittany, Lonnie, Rebecca, Blaze, and Alyssa; four great-great-grandchildren, LeeAllen, Weston, Jaquelynn, and Gannyn; two sisters, Pauline Redman, of Philipsburg, and Adeline Stiner, of Philipsburg; and two brothers, Kenneth Phillips, of Brisban, and Joesph Phillips, of Osceola Mills.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Evelyn Fegley; two grandsons, Randall Boyer Jr. and Brian Steven Boyer; and one brother, Harry Phillips.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Mifflinburg Assembly of God, 1001 Market St., Mifflinburg, followed by the funeral at 2, with the Rev. Johnny Blake officiating.
Interment will be in the Hartleton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jean's memory may be made to Mifflinburg Assembly of God, 1001 Market St., Mifflinburg, PA 17844.

Funeral arrangements are by the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg.
