Ethel M. Renninger
She was born Aug. 19, 1914, in Richfield, a daughter of the late John and Katie (Gearhart) Lauver.
In December, 1932, she married her late husband, Arthur D. Renninger, with whom she was blessed to share more than 31 years of marriage before his passing on Nov. 7, 1964.
She is survived by her children, Earl Renninger and his wife Lorraine of Mount Pleasant Mills, John Renninger and his wife Audrey of Richfield, Stanley Renninger and his wife Lorraine of Richfield, Lois Richenbach and her husband Robert of Mount Pleasant Mills, and Carol Swartz and her husband Phillip of Tallahassee, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, June Shellenberger; one son, Paul Renninger; two grandchildren, Ricky Renninger and Douglas Shellenberger; and two sisters, Irene Polner and Fern Rhoades.
Ethel was a member of the Richfield Life Ministries Church, the Women's Missionary Society at Church; and the Richfield Senior Citizens Center. She was very proud of her perfect attendance for many years at Church, was active in earlier life in supporting the Juniata County Association for the Blind, and enjoyed quilting and baking.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Richfield Life Ministries Church, 167 Church St., Richfield, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Jerry O'Connell officiating.
Interment will follow in the Richfield Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ethel's memory may be made to the Richfield Life Ministries Church Global Outreach Fund, 167 Church St., Richfield, PA 17086.
