Edward E. Snyder, 70, of Selinsgrove, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at the home of his daughter in Catasauqua, surrounded by his family.
He was born March 7, 1947, in Sunbury, a son of the late Reno D. Snyder and Cora A. (Miller) Snyder.
Ed attended Selinsgrove schools.
He was employed for one year at Groce Silk Mill, and for the next 39 years he worked at the Central Penn Wilbert Vault Company, Selinsgrove, retiring as the plant supervisor. Following his retirement he spent eight years at National Beef where he worked security.
Ed was an avid fisherman and hunter and was a life member of the Kreamer Sportsmen Club.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and James Pasquariello, of Catasauqua; one son, David Snyder, of Mount Pleasant Mills; one grandson, Shane Ruch; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Alma Moody-Long and George Long, and Stella and KennethSprenkle, all of Middleburg; one niece, Lisa Litwin; one nephew, John David Moody; two aunts, Dorothy Witmer and Helen Herrold; stepchildren, Billy Stahl and wife Tiff, and Tina Shellenberger; and numerous stepgrandchildren and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Crystal Stahl in 2009; and one son, James Edward Snyder in 2001.
Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. HIgh St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11, with Hospice Chaplain, Ricky Phillips officiating.
Burial will be in Witmer's Memorial Cemetery, Port Trevorton.
