Edward Eugene Kurrell, 48, of Sunbury passed away at his home unexpectedly on June 11, 2017.
He was born in Sunbury, a son of Roberta (Hovenstine) Kurrell and the late Frank Kurrell Jr.
Ed was a very unique and interesting man that was loved by his family. He had a love for music especially for his all-time favorite Madonna. Ed loved to learn and was always expressing his creativity through writing. He was also a Steelers' fan. His family remembers his passion for cooking. Ed will be greatly missed.
Ed was preceded in death by his father Frank Kurrell, Jr., his nephews Grant Jenkins and Kenny Kurrell, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Frank Kurrell III, Ken and Melody Kurrell, Robert Kurrell, and David Fisher; sisters, Tina and William Jenkins and Teresa and Lorie Kurrell; nephews, Eric Jenkins, Nathaniel and Amber Jenkins, Bradley Jenkins, Justin Rhoades, Zachary King, and Tyler King; nieces, Aubrey and Stephen Kurrell-Crocker, Brandi Kurrell, and Ashlee Kurrell; great-nieces, Alayna Ball and Rae-Lynn Jenkins; and two uncles and three aunts.
There will be a private memorial service for family and close friends at the home of Teresa and Lorie Kurrell on Saturday at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Edward's name to the National Alliance of Mental Health (NAMI).
Arrangements are by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
