Edna Elizabeth Snook, 70, of Bannerville, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at her home.
She was born Dec. 10, 1946, in Lewistown, a daughter of the late Walter Wayne and Dorothy Mae (Grassmyer) Wise. On Aug. 14, 1966, she married Ronald J. Snook who survives.
She was a member of the Class of 1965 at Lewistown High School.
Throughout her life, she was employed by Red's Diner, Lewistown, Corkin's Quick Lunch, Lewistown, Kinney Shoe Co., Beaver Springs, Beavertown Weaving Mill, and the American Vicose Corp., Lewistown.
Edna was known for her involvement in the community. She was a Girl Scout leader in McClure for more than 25 years, and a 4-H leader in ceramics and sewing. She was a trustee of the Bannerville Fire Company and was a member of the ladies' auxiliary.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, David W. Snook and companion Pam Krouse, of Middleburg; one daughter, Crystal A. Snook Fishbein and husband Jeff, of Selinsgrove; grandchildren, Tierra E. Snook and companion Jon Malick Jr., of Paxtonville, and Christopher B. Fishbein, of Selinsgrove; one great-grandson, Greyson O. Malick, of Paxtonville; mother-in-law, Betty R. Snook, of Ohesson Manor, Lewistown, formerly of Shindle; caregivers, Anna Keiser and Carissa Gearhart; three sisters; three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, followed by the funeral at 2, at the Pheasant Funeral Home Inc., 316 W. Market St., Beavertown, with the Rev. John D'Esterhazy Sr., officiating.
Burial will be in Samuel's Cemetery, McClure.
