Earl A. Clark Earl A. Clark, 88, of Coal Township passed Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018 at his home.

Earl was born Feb. 3, 1930 in Augustaville, a son of the late Aaron and Anna (Wolfe) Clark.

Ear was married April 27, 1951 in Gowen City to Joyce Eby, who survives.

Earl served in the Army, beginning active duty May 17, 1951. During his enlistment he served in the 1667 806 AU Signal Operation Co. He received the Korean Service medal and the United Nations Service Medal. Earl was honorably discharged April 21, 1953 from Camp Kilmer, N.J.

While in the service, Earl worked in the office of General McArthur. Later he was employed at Hercules Industries in Princeton, N.J., building the Minitman and Titan rockets. This happened to be the same plant where Albert Einstein worked. Lastly, Earl was employed at Koch Materials in Northumberland.

Earl was a member of Restoration Ministries Church, Shamokin. Earl was a "jack of all trades," mainly mechanics and carpentry. He was very proud of his house in the mountains that he and his family and friends had built. Earl loved gardening and working with his roses. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spent as much time with them as possible.

In addition to his wife, Earl is survived by his children, Cindy Dilliplane and husband Allen of Coal Township, Earl Clark Jr. of Halifax, Scott Clark and wife Diane of Sunbury, and Michele Boshinski and husband Frank of Coal Township; two sisters, Virginia London of Milton, and Hazel Mazeski and husband Bob of Lancaster; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Aaron Jr., and Daniel; and his granddaughter, Crystal Grace Clark.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home, 120 S. Market Street, Shamokin, followed by the service at 11, with Paul Eby officiating.

Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park Cemetery, Stonington.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Earl's memory to the Restoration Ministries Church, 525 W. Chestnut St., Shamokin, PA 17872.
