Earl's Story

Earl E. Bender, 81, of Rolling Hill Manor, Millmont, formerly of Troxelville, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017.
He was born Aug. 7, 1936, in Richwood, W.Va., a son of the late Cecil E. Bender and Nina Steffen. On June 7, 1957, he married the former Pearl D. Moyer who passed away Dec. 9, 2013.

Earl was employed as a loom fixer at the Beavertown Weaving Mill until his retirement.
In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and attending flea markets. He enjoyed attending the annual Ramp Fest in West Virginia and visit the area he grew up in.

Surviving are his three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Robin Bender, of California, Keith and Theresa Bender and William Bender and his companion Laura, all of Beaver Springs; one daughter, Sharon Goldschmidt, of Mifflinburg; stepson, Gary Moyer, of California; stepdaughter, Marcella "Marci" Kitting and husband Steve, of Lewistown; 13 grandchildren, Kelly Young, Todd Goldschmidt, Bryan Goldschmidt, Tabatha Shooter, Justin Bender, Shannon Clift, Nicole Gutierrrez-Boydstun, Randi Bender, Ethan Bender, Wyatt Bender, Bridget, Shonna and Brett Wolfley, Mary Richardson, Deanna Reed, Janelle Moyer and Sarah Kitting; great-grandchildren, Kassidy Goldschmidt, Adam and Bre Young, Keegan Klase, Julio And Gabe Melendez, Adrian Rojas, Kylie Goldschmidt, Teagan Shooter, Barrett Bender, Cloey Yerger, Mia Rivera, Adalina and Greyson Gutierrez, Wendell, Hunter, Madison and Reagan Clift, Tish and Krista Richardson, Ricky Linderman and Steffy and Scotty Reed, and Carson Smith; great-great-grandchildren, Luca Klase, Braden Martinez, Layla Richardson, Tyler, and Alexis Linderman.

Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11a.m. Saturday at the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown, followed by the funeral at 11.
Burial will follow in Troxelville Union Cemetery.
