Douglas Culver App, 61, of Kreamer, went to be with our Lord and Savior on May 18, 2018 at UPMC Sunbury.

Doug was born Oct. 16,1956 in West Chester, a son of the late Russell K. App and Virginia Thrasher Boyer. He was married to the former Carol Erdley of Middleburg, who survives. The couple was married for 36 years at the time of his passing.

Doug graduated from Selinsgrove Area High School in 1975 and received an associate's degree from Williamsport Area Community College in 1977 in the Horticulture field.

Doug loved working for the Middleburg Borough in public works for 27 years, retiring in 2014. He worked very hard to provide for his family. Doug loved hunting, enjoyed his son's baseball games and family times, spending time outdoors, his beloved dog Buster and looked forward to the yearly deer hunting trips to Troy Pa. with his family.

He is survived by his two children, Michael App of Lewisburg and Christopher App of Kreamer, mother-in-law, Marjorie Erdley of Middleburg; sister-in-law, Jane and husband James Savidge of Lancaster; two sisters, Deborah and husband Walter Gadzicki, Jr. of Royersford, Laura and husband Todd Aungst of Selinsgrove; his brother David App and wife Vickie of Boyertown, Pa.; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to the visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 22 at The Salem Independent Brethren Church, 101 West Market Street, Middleburg, followed by a celebration of life at 11, with the Rev., Robert Pyle officiating.

Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, Middleburg.
