Dorothy's Story

Dorothy L. Hendricks, 76, of Wall Street, Milton, passed away on Jan. 26, 2018, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born Dec. 19, 1941, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late William and Bertha (Leon) Bartoe. She was married to the late Robert H. Hendricks Sr.

Dorothy attended Milton schools and was a homemaker.
She collected angels and enjoyed drawing, and doing adult coloring books. She will be greatly missed by her dog, Sissy.

She is survived by four sons, Franklin H. Hendricks and Henry T. Hendricks, both of Milton, Robert H. Hendricks Jr. and companion Ruth Carter, of West Milton, and Russell W. Hendricks and wife Pamela, of New Columbia; nine grandchildren, Jeremy Hendricks, Chelsi Hendricks, Brandon Hendricks, Justyn Hendricks, Johnny Carter, Jason Carter, Angela Houseknecht, James Hagerman, and Derek Irvin; two great-grandchildren, Kassidy Houseknecht and Brielle Hendricks; one sister, Mae Louise Woodard, of Florida; and one sister-in-law, Nancy Hendricks.
Dorothy was preceded in death by one son, Jerry E. Hendricks; one grandson, Stewart Hagerman; four brothers, Curly "Tink", William, Elwood and Russell Bartoe; one sister, Mae Simons; and one brother-in-law, Richard Hendricks.

Friends and relatives will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton, followed by the funeral at 11, with Lt. Jennifer Burke of the Salvation Army, officiating.
Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery, Milton.
