Doris E.J. Wetzel, 75, of Klingerstown, passed away Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, at her home.
Doris was born in Mandata, on Dec. 13, 1941, a daughter of the late Geneva (Rebuck) and Oscar Baumert. On June 28, 1959, she married Ronald "Mick" Roy Wetzel Sr.
Doris was employed most recently as the manager of the Big Wrangler Steak House in Halifax and prior to that was the food service manager for the Tri-Valley High School.
She was a member of the Paxton Bible Church, Dalmatia.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, entertaining guests, canning, freezing and cooking.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Donna, wife of Neal Snyder, of Brodheadsville; a son, Ronald R. Wetzel Jr., of Harrisburg; a sister, Evelyn Zerfing; a brother, Richard Baumert; two grandchildren, Jason and his wife Laurie Snyder and Justin Snyder; and two great-grandchildren, Avery and Cole Snyder.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Baumert and Oscar Baumert Jr.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, 1133 Ridge Road, Klingerstown, and again from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Paxton Bible Church, 5298 State Route 147, Dalmatia, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Lepley officiating.
Interment will follow in Rickard Memorial Cemetery, Dalmatia.
