Donald James Neff

September 10, 1936 - May 15, 2018

Donald James "Jimmy" Neff, 81, of Selinsgrove, entered into rest on May 15, 2018 at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
Jimmy was born Sept. 10, 1936, in Coalport, a son of the late Rev. George Orvis and Mary Ethel (Bowden) Neff. He was number 13, the baby boy of the family.

Jimmy lived in Pennsylvania most of his life, except for a few years in Michigan. When his parents moved back to Pennsylvania, he lived with them until their deaths. He then lived with Annabelle for quite awhile; and lastly lived at the Manor at Penn Village. He loved the people there and they loved him too. One of Jimmy's favorite things to do was to go to church every Sunday. He loved singing and piano playing, where he really got involved and praised the Lord with his leading and clapping of hands. He also loved the activities, especially bingo; also one of the nicest things that happened recently on April 19, 2018, a Thursday evening he was crowned King of Hearts. He was overjoyed as well as our family and friends.
He was employed at the former Wilbert Vault Company in Selinsgrove and also at restaurants.

Jimmy is survived by his sister, Jane "Janie" Grimes of Harrisburg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his six brothers, Harold, Woody, Paul, Bob, Eddie, and Billy Neff; and five sisters, Rosella Spinosa, Helen Schott, Verna Wisor, Gladys Lucas, and Annabelle Adee.

Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills, followed by the funeral at noon, with his nephew, the Rev. Bill Mackey-Wisor officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Freeburg.

Memorial gifts may be made in loving memory of Jimmy to Geisinger Hospice, 61 N. Duke St., Northumberland, PA 17857.
"We love you Jimmy and will miss you very much."
